Refund policy

At Midnight Desires, we want you to shop with confidence. Due to the intimate nature of many of our products, we follow strict hygiene and safety standards while remaining fully compliant with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) of South Africa.


1. Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:

  • The product is defective or damaged upon delivery

  • The incorrect product was supplied

  • The product is not as described

  • The product is unsuitable for its intended purpose, where applicable under the CPA

All refund requests are subject to review and approval.


2. Timeframes for Refund Requests

  • Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of delivery

  • Claims for damaged or incorrect items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery

  • Requests submitted outside these timeframes may not be accepted


3. Non-Refundable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items are not eligible for refunds, unless required by law:

  • Products that have been opened, used, or had seals broken

  • Intimate or adult products where hygiene seals are no longer intact

  • Items damaged due to misuse, neglect, or improper handling

  • Products returned without original packaging or accessories

  • Perishable, wellness, or regulated products

  • Gift vouchers or digital products

  2. Provide a clear description of the issue

  3. Include photos or supporting evidence where applicable

Once reviewed, we will confirm whether the item must be returned and provide further instructions.


5. Return Shipping

  • Return shipping costs may be the customer’s responsibility, unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect

  • Midnight Desires reserves the right to decline refunds for items returned without prior approval


6. Refund Method & Timing

  • Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method

  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–8 business days after approval

  • Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider


7. Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled before dispatch

  • Once an order has been dispatched, cancellations are no longer possible

  • Approved cancellations will be refunded in line with this policy


8. Promotional & Sale Items

  • Sale or promotional items follow the same refund conditions, unless stated otherwise

  • Promotional pricing does not affect your rights under the CPA

9. Limitation of Liability

Midnight Desires is not responsible for:

  • Delays in refunds caused by third-party payment providers

  • Loss or damage during return shipping where the customer is responsible

  • Requests that do not meet the criteria outlined in this policy
